My name is Makanalani, and I’m a lifelong animal lover with a background in canine behavior. Although I was born on Maui, I grew up in New York. After graduating from high school, I chose to follow my passion for animals and earned my certification in professional dog training, pet sitting, and dog walking through Animal Behavior College.

At 18, I launched my own pet sitting and dog training business in New York and have now been in the pet care industry for over 8 years. After returning to Maui, I worked as a Veterinary Assistant at the Maui Humane Society. My time there gave me valuable experience in veterinary care, including advanced first aid, administering oral and injectable medications, taking vitals, and recognizing signs of illness.

 

Aloha Pups' mission is to provide affordable, professional-quality care for the dogs, cats, and other critters who call the island of Maui home!
